East Washington officials are reminding borough residents they are required to shovel snow from their sidewalks within 12 hours after a snowfall. Any resident not in compliance with the borough’s ordinance will receive a warning, officials said, but repeated violations could bring a fine ranging from $100 to $1,000 per day the snow is not cleared.
