A First Student mini-bus transporting two students to East Franklin School in Waynesburg was involved in a collision with a pickup truck Thursday on Route 21 near Khedive. Neither of the students nor the two drivers was injured.

The truck, owned by the Hertz Corp. of Glenshaw and driven by John D. Brun of Weirton, W.Va., was traveling east when it approached a car that was stopped and preparing to turn into Watters Pools, according to Cumberland Township Police Officer John Beckus. Beckus said Brun attempted to stop but slid on a patch of ice sending his Ford F250 pickup truck into the path of the First Student minibus driven by Ralph Hayden Jr. of Carmichaels, which was traveling west on Route 21.

EMS Southwest ambulance assisted at the scene.
