BUTLER, Pa. (AP) — A school bus driver was flown from the scene after colliding with a tanker truck on a rural western Pennsylvania highway, but an emergency official says none of the four students on board was hurt.

Butler County 911 dispatchers say the crash was reported at 12:48 p.m. Wednesday on Route 422 in Summit Township. That’s about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh.

County emergency services spokeswoman Amy Marree confirmed the medical information about those aboard the bus, but says state police were investigating. They didn’t immediately release details.

The bus says “Hermitage Schools” on it, but wasn’t carrying students from that district, about 50 miles northwest of the crash.

Hermitage Superintendent Dan Bell says the district’s contractor, Student Transportation of America, was using the vehicle to transport students from Indiana County, but didn’t know which school district.
