Erma C. DiNardo, 91, of Cokeburg, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
She was born July 5, 1921, in Cokeburg, a daughter of the late Frank and Angela Marie Barassi Zarak.
A resident of Cokeburg for the past 85 years, she was a lifelong member of Ave Maria Parish and a past member of Holy Rosary Society of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cokeburg. She also was a member of Sons of Italy Lodge 609 in Cokeburg.
Mrs. DiNardo enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and sewing and loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
On October 16, 1947, she married Albert “Bam” DiNardo, who died July 22, 1982.
Surviving are three sons, Albert F. DiNardo (Christina) of Cokeburg, Dennis DiNardo (Kathleen) of Scenery Hill and Douglas DiNardo (Rose) of Washington; eight grandchildren, Angela Paree (Ron), Matthew (Jen) DiNardo, Lynn Chesebrough (Chris), Dennis DiNardo (Amber), Sarah DiNardo Simpson, Sheryl DiNardo, Natalie DiNardo and Douglas DiNardo; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Vella DiNardo of Lower Burrell; a sister-in-law, Mary Guzy of Charleroi; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are two brothers, Alexander and Armand Zarak, and three sisters, Lucy DeSimone, Amelia Caloccia and Olga DiNardo.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, January 5, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Ave Maria Roman Catholic Church, Bentleyville, with the Rev.
