Carmichaels man sentenced for DUI

WAYNESBURG – A Carmichaels man who pleaded guilty to his second offense of driving under the influence of alcohol was sentenced Tuesday to five years in the county intermediate punishment program.
Matthew A. Bargerstock, 36, of 461 S. Route 88 Road, was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on Dec. 8, 2013. He had a blood-alcohol content of 0.204 percent.
Bargerstock pleaded guilty to DUI and a summary traffic violation on Nov. 14 and was sentenced Tuesday by Greene County Judge Farley Toothman.
As part of his sentence, Bargerstock is required to spend the first 120 days on house arrest wearing a GPS and alcohol monitoring bracelet. During this time, he is eligible for work release.
Following house arrest, he must continue to wear the GPS and alcohol monitoring bracelet for another 180 days.
Bargerstock also is required to attend re-entry court during the initial six months of his sentence, perform 120 hours of community service and pay $1,525 in fines.
