The Mona Charen column, “Obama should have asked for a better deal from the Cubans,” which appeared in the Feb. 1 edition of the Observer-Reporter, was well written. I agree that President Obama’s deal was a poor one. The United States is dealing from strength, not weakness.

Charen is right. The deal benefits only the Cubans.
