Metz – McDade
Katie McDade and Nick Metz were united in marriage June 28, 2014, at First Unitarian Church of Pittsburgh, with the Rev. Harry Beck officiating the 3:33 p.m. ceremony.
The bride’s parents are Kevin and Debbie McDade of North Strabane. Her grandparents are Norma Danziger of Bridgeville and the late Richard Danziger and the late James and Evelyn McDade.
Parents of the bridegroom are Gary and Jane Metz of Cecil. His grandparents are Margaret May of Bethel Park and the late Ralph May and the late Dominick and Adeline Metz.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Matrons of honor were April Redford of Canonsburg, sister of the bride; Krista Matinko of Pittsburgh; and Codi Welch of Katy, Texas. Bridesmaids were Amyjo McDade of Pittsburgh, sister-in-law of the bride; Alyssa Mahramus of Pittsburgh; Kaitlin Cerenzia of South Fayette; and Michelle Goodliff of Arlington, Va. Junior bridesmaid was Reagan Redford, niece of the bride.
Flower girls were Piper Redford, Rachel McDade, Riley McDade and Norah McDade, nieces of the bride.
Best man was Eric Metz of Cecil, brother of the groom.
Ushers were Jimmy Ellis of Bedford, Mass.; Kevin McDade of Pittsburgh, brother of the bride; Chris Cservak of Pittsburgh; Tom Dausch of McDonald; and Kevin Redford of Canonsburg, brother-in-law of the bride.
Ring bearer was Cash Redford, nephew of the bride.
Readers were Nicole Cryblskey and Corrie Danziger, cousins of the bride.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and a 2009 graduate of West Virginia University. She also studied at New Academy of Fine Arts in Italy.
Mr. Metz is a 2006 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and a 2010 graduate of Pennsylvania State University.
A reception was held at J. Verno Studios.
The couple honeymooned in the Riviera Maya, Mexico.
