Disorderly house charges: Two people were charged by California police with violating the borough’s disorderly house ordinance in two different incidents. Vincent Andrew Contini, 23, of Irwin, was charged after allegedly hosting a party early Sunday at Theta Xi Fraternity, High Street. Liam Gedda, 19, of Charleroi, was charged with underage drinking after allegedly causing a disturbance when leaving that party. Police said Irina Kukolj, 22, of Harrisonburg, Va., was charged for having a large party at her Vulcan Village apartment early Wednesday.

Fraudulent returns: California police said two residents reported their information was fraudulently used to file tax returns. Police ask that anyone who found fraudulent use of income tax information contact them and notify the Internal Revenue Service.

Underage drinking charges: Jesus Castillo, 19, of Hazleton, Luzerne County, was charged by California police with underage drinking and disorderly conduct stemming from a fight early Sunday outside an apartment at Vulcan Village.

Theft arrest: Dena Caruso, 30, of Pittsburgh, was arrested Tuesday by Peters police on a charge of theft by failure to make required disposition of funds. She is accused of failing to make more than $2,350 in nightly deposits while working at Great Clips, 3855 Washington Road, last month. She was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Disorderly conduct citation: Brian R. Hanlon, 18, of Windermere Court, McMurray, was told by police Tuesday, not to park his vehicle in a fire lane at Donaldson’s Crossroads on Washington Road. According to reports, Hanlon called the police an expletive. Police told Hanlon he was in a public place and not to use obscene language. Hanlon called the officer another expletive at which point he was cited for disorderly conduct.

DUI, speeding charges: Police stopped Timothy W. Gruber, 49, of Linden Road, Canonsburg, at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday for driving at a high speed on Washington Road. After pulling Gruber over, police detected a strong odor of alcohol. Gruber will be charged with driving under the influence and speeding, according to reports.

Charges pending: Charges are pending against an Upper St. Clair man for driving his car over an embankment on Bebout Road near the Peters Township Recreation Center Tuesday. According to reports, police discovered an abandoned car owned by Joshua D. Chojnicki, 30, of Johnson Road, Upper St. Clair. Police went to Chojnicki’s house and were told by his wife, Lauren Rump, 31, he was not home. When the car was being removed from the embankment, they spotted Rump, who said she was looking for her husband. They returned to Chojnicki’s home and found him hiding in the backseat of Rump’s car. The incident remains under investigation.

Drug investigation: The Washington County district attorney’s drug task force seized an undisclosed amount of heroin and numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia Tuesday from the 130 May Ave. residence of Michael Wallace. Wallace, 41, was placed in Washington County jail on a probation violation, with additional charges pending against him in the case, District Attorney Gene Vittone said.

Drug delivery charge: Duwayne Edward Patterson Jr., 18, of 72 Park Ave., Washington, was arrested Tuesday by state police after he allegedly was found with a half-pound of marijuana during a traffic stop on East Wylie Avenue at Allison Avenue, Washington. Some of the marijuana was in individual bags, police said. Patterson was a passenger in the vehicle. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on a charge of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Marijuana charge: Kyler Livingston, 23, of 645 E. Maiden St., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with possession of marijuana after he allegedly was found with the suspected drug while in a vehicle in a Detroit Street parking lot early Wednesday.

Paraphernalia charge: John Russo, 24, of 301 W. Maiden St., North Franklin Township, will be charged by Washington police with possession of paraphernalia after he allegedly was seen staggering on the road at Jefferson Avenue and West Maiden early Wednesday.
