Alternating daylight lane restrictions will occur on a section of Route 980 between Chartiers Run Road and Lincoln Avenue in Cecil Township beginning Monday and continuing into May, the state Department of Transportation announced.

The restrictions will be in place to allow crews to perform base repair, milling and resurfacing of existing pavement. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers during the operation.

The contractor on the $15.3 million project is Lindy Paving Inc. and will include work on Route 88, Route 136 and Route 980.
