Lions Club names student of the month
The Clarksville Lions Club named Jefferson-Morgan student Dejia Jordan, daughter of Jennifer Botwright and Arthur Jordan of Mather, student for the month for April.
Jordan maintains a 3.79 grade point average. She is a member of art club, Leo Club, foreign language club and is a new inductee of National Honor Society.
Jordan was recognized as a Remarkable Rocket by President’s Educational Awards Program and is the recipient of National NAACP Outstanding Scholastic Academic Achievement Award, grades 7 through 11.
Jordan volunteers at Greene County Humane Society, participates in Leo Club roadside and courtyard clean up and in the school’s weekend backpack program.
In the fall, Jordan will attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania to study studio art.
