March table games revenue highest monthly amount ever

HARRISBURG — Revenue from table games play at Pennsylvania’s 12 casinos was $69.7 million in March 2015, the highest single month of revenue to date according to a report released Wednesday by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
The latest tally was 2.7 percent higher than revenue generated from table games in March of 2014.
Locally, The Meadows Casino and Pittsburgh’s Rivers Casinos saw table games revenue decline in March.
Total tax revenue of $10,079,933 was produced and returned to the Commonwealth in March.
At The Meadows, table games produced $2,903,530 in revenue from 81 tables in March. The amount was down $110,180 from the $3,014,710 collected from 75 tables in March 2014.
The Rivers generated $5,85,999 in revenue from 113 tables last month, down $150,162 from the $6,136,161 from the same number of tables of March of a year ago.
However, Lady Luck Casino Nemacolion saw revenue rise in March from its 29 table games, moving to $554,620 from $496,884 from 29 tables in use in March 2014.
The PGCB also reported that a total of $277,482,836 in revenue was generated when combining the March table games figures with the previously reported revenue for slot machines in that month.
The total gaming revenue during March decreased 2.35 percent over last March’s total of $284,148,717.
