Aaron Previnsky homered, hit two doubles and drove in seven runs Friday as California remained unbeaten in Section 1-A with a 13-3 five-inning victory over Bentworth.
Louden Conte score three runs, while Drake Johnson allowed just three hits for the Trojans (4-0, 10-1).
Bentworth falls to 4-1, 7-2.
• Cam Schaub had a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in two runs as Fort Cherry outlasted Burgettstown in a Section 1-AA game.
Cole Clark drove in three runs and Michael Coyne two for the Rangers (2-4, 2-4) to back the winning pitching of Hunter Douglass.
Losing pitcher Dylan Dhans and Mike Smith each doubled for Burgettstown (1-4, 3-4).
• Jonathan Spina had four hits, including a double, and drove in six runs to lead Washington past Chartiers-Houston, 10-0, in a six-inning Section 2-AA game.
Winning pitcher Connor Bedillion allowed just three hits and struck out 12 for the Prexies (5-0, 5-1).
C-H dropped to 2-3, 2-5.
• Winning pitcher Michael Ludrosky pitched a six-hitter and hit a two-run single in Carmichaels’ five-run third inning as the Mikes ended a two-game losing streak by defeating visiting Jefferson-Morgan 8-1 in Section 1-A.
Carmichaels (2-2, 6-2) led 3-1 when it broke the game open with the big third inning. That was all the offense Ludrosky needed as he held J-M scoreless the rest of the way, striking out six batters.
Michaels Blasinky was 2-for-2 with two doubles to lead the Carmichaels offense. Joel Spishock also had a double.
Aaron Weaver had a double for J-M (3-2, 4-5) and Isaac Dean had three of the Rockets’ six hits.
• Evan McDaniel threw a complete game shutout as Trinity defeated McGuffey, 6-0, in a Section 3-AAA game.
Garrett Briant tripled twice for Trinity (1-4, 2-9).
McGuffey is 0-5, 0-7.
• Avella rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh to tie the score but Eden Christian pushed across the game-winning run in the bottom of the inning and defeated the Eagles 7-6 in Section 5-A.
Winning pitcher Dave Williams blew a save in the top of the seventh, when Avella’s Dalton Cimonelli hit a bases-clearing double. The Warriors won the game with a walk, sacrifice bunt, stolen base and a sacrifice fly off the bat of Bill Schmotzer.
Losing pitcher Santino Paris, who gave up only seven hits in a complete game, was 2-for-3 with two doubles. Cody Dobbin also doubled for Avella (1-4, 4-5).
• Tyler Baker allowed two hits and also tripled as West Greene won its first game of the season, 14-4, in six innings against Section 1-A opponent Mapletown.
Dalton Eddy and Logan Vliet added doubles for the Pioneers (1-3, 1-6).
Mapletown remains winless at 0-6, 0-8.
