MOUNT LEBANON, Pa. (AP) — A Pittsburgh-area Catholic school was closed for a third straight day because of an emailed shooting threat, but students were working at home using laptop computers and officials planned to meet with parents to discuss reopening the school.

The parents’ meeting was announced on the Seton-LaSalle High School website, but the time and place was still pending Friday.

Mount Lebanon police were working with the FBI to determine who sent the email early Wednesday, because whoever sent it took steps to hide their identity.

The email contained threats to shoot students and staff and referenced similar incidents at Columbine High School in Colorado and Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.

Law enforcement officials say it’s difficult to assess the threat’s credibility until they can figure out who sent it.
