Workshop addresses home water system

Penn State Extension will hold a Home Water and Septic System workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. May 21 at its Washington County office, 601 Courthouse Square, 100 W. Beau St., Washington.

The program will be repeated from 6 to 8 p.m. May 21.

Bryan Swistock of Penn State University and Susan Boser of Penn State Extension, Beaver County, will present the workshop, which will provide information on protecting, testing and treating private water supplies, as well as proper maintenance and management of water and wastewater systems.

The program is free, but registration is requested by May 18. The first 30 households that register will receive A Guide to Private Water Systems in PA.
