Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Westley Nickel of Strabane, Mr. and Mrs. David Lee Winters II of Washington and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Headlee of Waynesburg announce the engagement of their children, Melissa Joy Winters to Matthew Douglas Headlee, both of Waynesburg.

The bride-to-be attends Waynesburg University and Westmoreland County Community College. She is a personal assistant.

The future groom served in the United States Army. He is a heavy equipment operator for K & R Pipeline Services and is president of Veteran Riders Post 4793.

The couple plan a May 2016 wedding at the Fairview Sunset Room, Bridgeville.
