Bethlehem-Center School Board is proposing a 2-mill real estate tax increase to balance the district’s upcoming budget.
The tax increase will raise $60,000 in new revenue for the 2015-2016 budget of $18.3 million, district business manager Jody Nepa said.
The district is expected to receive $12.6 million in state revenue and $5.2 million from local sources.
Instruction is expected to cost taxpayers $10.9 million.
The board is expected to adopt the spending plan at 7 p.m. June 22 in the administration wing of the elementary school in Deemston.
