Two rescued from flooded road as storms hit Pittsburgh area

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Two people were rescued from flooded roadways as severe thunderstorms hit the Pittsburgh area.
The Tribune-Review reports the people were in vehicles that became stranded in Baldwin around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
Their conditions were not immediately available.
The storms also toppled trees, blocking roadways across the region and rupturing a gas line in McCandless.
Part of Allegheny River Boulevard in Pittsburgh was blocked by a landslide. A road in Franklin Park was blocked by fallen power lines.
