Penn State Extension will host a “Shale Royalties Management: Understanding Your Royalty Check” workshop July 14 at Burgettstown Area Middle/High School, 104 Bavington Road.

Those who attend should use the entrance marked W 5 to go to the LGI Room. The same program will be offered at two different times: 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

Dan Brockett, a Marcellus education team educator at Penn State Extension, and Bud Shuffstall, senior vice president and senior oil, gas and mineral officer, at Northwest Savings Bank will provide a comprehensive program to help royalty owners understand how current drilling production and trends can affect their royalties. They also will provide insight for landowners on the process of relating operations to royalties.

The program is free, but seating is limited and registration is required by visiting http://extension.psu.edu/naturalgas/events or calling 570-320-4429. Questions about the content of the program can be directed to Brockett at dlb14@psu.edu or Carol Loveland at cal24@psu.edu or 570-320-4429.

The program is for educational purposes only and is not intended as an offer of legal advice.
