WAYNESBURG – Kevin Pincavitch has submitted his application to become next year’s varsity head baseball coach after being let go from the position last month, a school official said.

All applications for the position were due Friday and Pincavitch, along with two other applicants, will continue in the hiring process, District Superintendent Brian Uplinger said.

Uplinger told Pincavitch he had the right to reapply for the position during last month’s board meeting when the board voted to open up Pincavitch’s position for next year.

The next phase of the hiring process will be to schedule interviews with the three candidates, Uplinger said. He added Pincavitch will receive no different treatment than the other applicants.

“He will go through the same process as anyone else,” Uplinger said.

The board plans to make a decision on the next head coach in late August or September.
