ROGERSVILLE – State police released a photo from a surveillance camera of the man who robbed Rush Grocery Store in Rogersville late Monday night.

Police said the unidentified man entered the store about 9:50 p.m. and handed the clerk a note, demanding money and threatening to shoot her if she did not comply.

The clerk struggled with the man, who then fled on foot into Rogersville. No one was injured.

The man is described as white, in his mid-20s, about 5-foot-8 in height and weighing about 170 pounds. He has brown, shaggy, shoulder-length hair and may have a large mole or small birth mark on his right wrist.

The man was wearing a gray or green T-shirt, black shorts and red baseball hat with what appears to be a horseshoe and writing on it.

The robber also may have had a female accomplice who was driving a 2010-2012 model year, white Ford F-150 Super Crew pickup truck.

Police continue to investigate the robbery.

They released the photo in an attempt to identify the suspect.

Anyone who can identify the man or has information on the robbery is asked to call state police at 724-627-6151.
