Money stolen: Brandy M. Bridges of Weirton, W.Va., told state police Friday that money was stolen from her purse that had been in her vehicle at the BP service station, 1205 Main St., Burgettstown.
Truck stolen: Employees of Summit Casing Equipment, 40 Pennsylvania Ave., Canton, told state police Tuesday that a white, 2001 Mack truck was stolen from the property. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Nathan Brown at 724-223-5200.
Accused in assault: Bruce A. Traylor, 40. of 109 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, was charged Thursday by McDonald police with aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and harassment for allegedly assaulting an officer during an incident early Tuesday. Police were called about 3 a.m. for a fight in progress at 103 W. Lincoln. When police arrived, the officer saw two men including Traylor fighting on the sidewalk. Traylor had the unidentified man in a chokehold and was trying to hit him. When police ordered Traylor to let go, he reportedly approached Officer Daniel Kuzio in an aggressive manner. Kuzio used pepper spray on Traylor and ordered him to the ground. Traylor reportedly continued to resist and struggled with Kuzio and Cecil Township police, who arrived to assist. A warrant for his arrest has been issued by District Judge Valarie Costanzo.
Charged in traffic stop: Kurt Michael Karmann, 22, of 1024 Sunset Drive, Bulger, will be chagred by McDonald police with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a burnt-out headlight and driving under suspension stemming from a Nov. 30 traffic stop on North McDonald Street. Charges will be filed at the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.
DUI charge: Michael Dillon Gregg, 21, of 1368 Hilltop Drive, Bulger, will be charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, careless driving and failure to stay in his lane after almost striking a McDonald police cruiser in the early morning hours of Oct. 27. Police were on patrol on southbound Robinson Highway, Robinson, when they saw a pickup truck driven by Gregg going north in the southbound lane. Police had to swerve off the road to avoid a crash. Officers turned to follow Gregg who almost hit two utility poles before stopping. Gregg was taken to Canonsbrug General Hospital where blood was drawn. It was determined he had Alprazolam in his system and the level was above normal usage limits. He also does not have a valid prescription for the drug, police said. The charges will be filed at the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.
