Waynesburg falls at Geneva

BEAVER FALLS – Aaron Channing threw for 312 yards and five touchdown passes as Geneva handed Waynesburg a 41-24 Presidents’ Athletic Conference loss Saturday night.

Channing threw two TD passes each to Devin Kelosky and Markus Wagner as Geneva (1-0, 2-1) erased a 17-7 first-half lead by the Yellow Jackets (0-1, 1-2), who have now dropped their last two games.

Geneva led 21-17 at the half and increased the deficit to 35-17 after three quarters as Channing threw a pair of scoring passes in the period.

Eric Lucich also scored a rushing touchdown for Geneva, which outgained Waynesburg, 443-304.

Jake Dougherty passed for 218 yards and three scores for Waynesburg, with Kevin Barnes hauling in five passes for a team-high 80 yards and a score.

The Yellow Jackets, however, managed just 86 rushing yards on 28 attempts.
