Bill and Shirley Carroll of Houston celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with family and friends during a surprise party given by their siblings.

Mr. and Mrs. Carroll were married October 2, 1965, in Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church, Meadow Lands, with the late Rev. A.J. Schutty officiating.

Mr. Carroll retired from Iron Workers Local Union No. 3, Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Carroll retired from Joy Mining Machinery, Meadow Lands.
