Charleroi High to host heroin summit
Charleroi Area High School will host a summit today on the prescription drug and heroin overdose epidemic that has been underway in Washington County.
The educational program will begin at 6 p.m. in the school’s auditorium, 100 Fecsen Drive.
Washington County District Attorney Gene Vittone and Neil Capretto, medical director for Gateway Rehabilitation Center, will be among the speakers. Several recovering drug addicts also are expected to appear at the event, which is sponsored by Southwest Medical Center.
