In the event of a natural disaster, or even a zombie apocalypse, one pint of blood can support up to three lives. To continue to ensure an adequate blood supply for patients in area hospitals, Central Blood Bank is giving donors the opportunity to meet cast members from the AMC television show “The Walking Dead.”

Through Jan. 29, all participating donors at Central Blood Bank community donor centers and fixed sites who mention the promo phase “Walking Dead” will receive a ticket for them and a guest to attend a meet and greet with current cast member Katelyn Nacon, who plays Enid, and Madison Lintz, who portrayed Sophia Peletier during the first two seasons.

For more information on the meet and greet and how to find a community donor center, visit centralbloodbank.org.

Appointments to donate blood are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. Donors can schedule an appointment by calling 866-366-6771 or visiting donateblood.centralbloodbank.org. Donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 years old with parental consent.
