A benefit jam will be held for Tammy Thompson from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Alpine Club, 735 Jefferson Ave., Washington.

Funds will be used to offset the 45-year-old woman’s medical expenses for treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa, also known as acne inversa, a chronic skin condition that causes pea-sized to marble-sized lumps under the skin.
