Belle Vernon teacher on leave during social media review
BELLE VERNON – A Pennsylvania teacher has been placed on paid leave while the school district investigates a report of inappropriate social media use.
Belle Vernon School Board President Joe Grata told that the district takes any report of such activity seriously and is investigating.
The school won’t identify the Belle Vernon Area Middle School teacher or detail the allegation while the investigation is ongoing. The district has not said whether officials will contact police as part of the investigation.
