Stolen truck: John W. Teagarden, 52, of 614 Craynes Run Road, Waynesburg, faces several charges after state police said he stole a pickup truck Thursday morning from a patient staying at WHS-Greene hospital and later crashed it on Wilman Hill Road in Washington Township. Police said Teagarden became agitated when he was placed under arrest and kicked the driver’s side window of the patrol car. Police charged him with receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and criminal attempt.

Drug overdoses: Andrew Knight, 24, of 405 Dutch Run Road, Waynesburg, was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct when state police said they responded to drug overdose calls for him Feb. 22 and 23, at 144 Henge Road in Jefferson Township.

Simple assault: Ronald A. Rose, 58, of 709 Third Ave., Waynesburg, was charged with unlawful restraint, simple assault and harassment, after police said he assaulted his daughter-in-law shortly after 7 p.m. Friday. Officers responded to 46 W. Lincoln St., where the woman told police Rose attacked her by grabbing her hair, putting her on the ground, striking her about 10 times and slamming her head into the ground multiple times, according to court records.
