Work resumed Monday on a $1.46 million project to replace the bridge that takes Washington Pike over Coal Run in South Fayette Township.

Drilling operations started, and once completed, there will be single-lane traffic restrictions in each direction while the bridge is placed.

Left turns from southbound Washington Pike to the Bursca Business Park will be restricted for trucks. Truck traffic will be detoured onto Interstate 79 southbound to the Southpointe exit and then onto Morganza Road, which becomes Washington Pike in Allegheny County.

All truck traffic leaving the park must turn left onto Washington Pike and can take the detour in reverse.
