WAYNESBURG – A number of criminal defendants pleaded guilty recently before the Greene County Court. Appearing before Judge Lou Dayich were:

Robert A. Hostinsky, 33, of 537 Glory Barn Road, Morgantown, W.Va.; offenses – fleeing or attempting to elude police, carrying a firearm without a license, five summary traffic violations; on June 19, Hostinsky failed to stop for police attempting to pull him over for speeding on Interstate 79; a revolver he was not licensed to carry was found in his vehicle; sentence – 1 to 2 years in jail, credit for time served from June 30; $178.50 in fines.

Jonathan Glenn Snyder, 31, of 312 Tollgate Run Road, Waynesburg; offenses – possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; a charge of possession with intent to deliver was withdrawn; during a traffic stop Oct. 31, police found syringes and 27 stamp bags of heroin in his possession; sentence – 6 to 23 1/2 months in jail, credit for time served since Oct. 31, $100 fine, 75 hours of community service.

Tyler George Dial, 20, no address given; offenses – theft, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief; he plead no contest to terroristic threats; a charge of intimidating a witness was withdrawn; on Aug. 15, he stole a laptop computer from a vehicle in Waynesburg; he later called and threatened a witness; sentence – 3 years in the county intermediate punishment program, with 19 days in jail and credit for 19 days served, followed by 90 days of house arrest.

Ronald Lee Snyder Jr., 29, of 285 Byard Road, Waynesburg; offenses – burglary, theft and criminal mischief; on Aug. 26, Snyder stole an all-terrain vehicle from a shed on Byard Road; sentence – 1 to 5 years in jail, credit for time served from Nov. 30.

Jay Richard Bergman, 25, of Adah; offenses – robbery by force, theft, simple assault, harassment, criminal mischief; charges of robbery with threat of serious bodily injury and robbery with bodily injury withdrawn; on Feb. 4, Bergman and two others robbed and assaulted a man who was allegedly going to sell them marijuana; sentence – 1 to 3 years in jail, with credit for time served, $728 in restitution to the victim.

Troy Andrew Cree, 27, of 1720 Morris St., Waynesburg; offenses – DUI, second offense, driving while his operating privileges suspended or revoked, two summary traffic violation; arrested Aug. 29, 2014, Cree had a blood-alcohol content of 0.193 percent; sentence – 90 days to 23 ½ months in jail; $530 in fines.

Jaime B. Haywood, 36, of 49 Locust Alley, Waynesburg; offenses – resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and harassment; charges of simple and aggravated assault withdrawn; on Aug. 9, 2014, Haywood caused a disturbance at the Sunoco Station on Greene Street in Waynesburg; she refused to respond to police and became combative when they attempted to arrest her, spitting on two officers; sentence – 30 days to 23 ½ months of house arrest.

Appearing before Senior Judge Hiram Carpenter III:

Dennis James Lord, 33, of 107 Grove St., Elmira, N.Y., offenses – DUI and 5 summary traffic violations; arrested following a traffic stop on Feb. 4, 2012, Lord had a BAC of 0.095 percent; sentence – 5 days to 6 months in jail, with credit for time served, $500 in fines.

Appearing before President Judge Farley Toothman:

Sally Lee Senay, 67, of 689 Ackley Creek Road, West Finley; offenses – DUI, second offense; arrested Sept. 6, 2014, Senay had a BAC of 0.228 percent; sentence – 5 years in the county intermediate punishment program, with the first 90 days on house arrest, $2,500 in fines.
