Jefferson-Morgan Junior-Senior High School Drama Club will be performing “Shrek the Musical” at 1 p.m. today in the Stanley Fowler Auditorium at the high school. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students. The play is directed by Scot Moore and Susan Tretinik, and features Cory Tretinik as Shrek, Katrina Schmolke as Fiona and Peyton Noble as Donkey.
Classic Memories, a well-known local band, will have a senior dance at Jefferson Community Center March 5. The band is known for its classic oldies, rock’n’ roll and classic country. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the dance will be from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Admission is $6 and a 50/50 raffle will be held. Food sold at the concession stand will benefit Jefferson United Methodist Children’s Activity Fund. The menu will include: sloppy joes, creamed chicken sandwich, hotdogs, nachos, desert and drinks.
Jefferson-Morgan High School’s Formal wear Sale and Vendor Show, which will showcase “worn once” dresses and gowns at low prices, will be held next week in the high school gymnasium. Times are 6 to 8 p.m., Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free and vendors also will be selling kitchenware, makeup, jewelry, purses and candles.
