A Canonsburg woman was arraigned Tuesday on charges including aggravated assault and reckless endangerment after Canonsburg police said she deliberately crashed her vehicle into another vehicle during an alleged domestic dispute earlier this month.

Shawnice Williams, 36, of 509 S. Central Ave., was also arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of simple assault, reckless driving and careless driving filed by police in connection with the Feb. 6 incident.

Police initially were called to a two-vehicle crash on South Central near Munnell Street. One vehicle crashed into a utility pole with a car directly behind it that also crashed. The driver, Latrisha Raineri, and passenger, Jessica Boehm, were taken to Canonsburg Hospital. Williams, who police said was driving the second car, was reportedly angry and upset with the other two women and had to be told by police to calm down. Williams refused treatment.

Police said Williams came home and found her boyfriend inside a vehicle with Raineri. Williams reportedly went up to the driver’s side of the vehicle and started punching Raineri. She also allegedly was screaming at her boyfriend, Israel Johnson. When Boehm came to the car, she also was reportedly punched and had her hair pulled by Williams.

Raineri and Boehm left after Johnson got out of the car. Williams told police she and Johnson got into an argument. He left with her dog. Williams told police she went to get her dog when she saw Johnson get into Raineri’s vehicle with the animal.

Both Boehm and Raineri told police Williams deliberately crashed her car into their vehicle. Raineri’s vehicle then hit the utility pole, police said.

Johnson told police he was intoxicated and did not remember what happened other than the vehicle he was in was involved in a crash.

Williams, who turned herself in Tuesday, was released on $10,000 unsecured bond. She is scheduled for a March 9 preliminary hearing before Mark.
