Police continue investigation into death in Peters Township pond
Peters Township police continue to investigate the death of a 20-year-old man who was found in a Venetia pond Saturday afternoon.
The investigation will proceed in conjunction with the autopsy by Washington County Coroner Timothy Warco to establish the cause of death.
According to a press release from the coroner’s office, Peter Teris was on his Fox Run Road property when a caregiver saw him fall into the pond about 3:30 p.m. The caregiver removed Teris, who was diagnosed with a seizure disorder, from the pond, administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation and called 911, but he died at Canonsburg Hospital.
