Police: Pennsylvania man kicked crying toddler, 1, in abdomen
NEW CASTLE (AP) – A Pennsylvania man who police say kicked a crying 1-year-old girl in the abdomen has been jailed on child endangerment and assault charges.
New Castle police say the incident happened Wednesday afternoon at an apartment, where 25-year-old Clinton Davis was watching his girlfriend’s daughter.
Police say Davis got mad after the girl fell off a chair and started crying, so he cursed at her then kicked her.
Witnesses tell police Davis then grabbed he girl by the arm and threw her out of a door into the common area of the apartment complex – then continued his conversation with someone else as if nothing happened.
Online court records don’t list an attorney for Davis, who allegedly told police he kicked the girl in the “side” and not the stomach.
