A former Bulger resident was sentenced in federal court Tuesday to 63 months in prison for conspiring to distribute at least 500 grams of cocaine and at least 100 grams of heroin in Western Pennsylvania, U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton said.

LeeVaughn Walls, 37, was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Judge Joy Flowers Conti. Judge Conti also sentenced Walls to serve four years of supervised release following his prison sentence.

In support of the conviction and sentence of Walls, the court was informed that Walls was involved in the distribution of kilogram quantities of cocaine and 10- to 50-brick quantities of heroin. He was one of 39 people named in an April 2015 indictment that resulted from an investigation conducted by a task force led by the Drug Enforcement Administration. He has been in federal custody since his arrest.
