Bentworth graduation tonight
Bentworth High School will graduate 91 seniors during a commencement ceremony at 6 p.m. Thursday in the school gymnasium.
Rachel Marie Woessner is the valedictorian and Emma Leigh Zediker is the salutatorian of the 2016 senior class.
Woessner is a daughter of Ray and Mary Woessner of Bentleyville.
She received the McCracken Scholarship, the American Airlines Scholarship, Clearview Federal Credit Union Scholarship and From Alex With Love Award.
She was president of Future Business Leaders of America, treasurer of the National Honor Society, and was a member of the volleyball team, marching band color guard, Leo Club, high school musical, Student Council and ski club. She received regional and state awards in Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science and participated in the Westinghouse Science Honors Institute.
Woessner plans to study engineering at Geneva College.
Zediker is a daughter of William and Katrina Zediker of Bentleyville.
She received the President’s Award for Educational Excellence.
She is a 4-H volunteer and employed at Tanger outlets and the Spring House.
She will enter the physician’s assistant program at St. Francis University.
