Peterson leads Rebellion past Houston
HOUSTON – Alexa Peterson had a double and triple, driving in two runs and scoring another, as the Pennsylvania Rebellion snapped a five-game losing streak with a 6-1 win Saturday night at Houston.
Kristyn Sandberg added a pair of doubles for the Rebellion (8-15) to back the pitching of Emily Weiman and Haylie Wagner, who combined to scatter seven hits.
Wagner pitched the first five innings to pick up the win, while Wagner got the final six outs to record the save.
Sara Driesenga took the loss for the Scrap Yard Dogs (11-10), allowing five runs, two of which were earned, in 6 1/3 innings.
