Trump knows what “crooked” means
It is ironic that the Obsever-Reporter and other sources are asking of Donald Trump, “Do you have no sense of decency?”, echoing the question asked of Sen. Joseph McCarthy by Joseph Welsh in 1954. That question basically ended McCarthy’s career of bullying, slander, and lies. McCarthy, at that moment, was defending the dishonest work of his lawyer, Roy Cohn, whose motto was “Attack, attack, attack.”
Trump was drawn to Cohn and hired him in 1973 to defend him against the government’s charges that blacks were turned away at Trump-owned properties. Though Trump lost that case, settling out of court, he continued to retain Cohn, who also worked for John Gotti, the Genovese mob, and the Bonanno crime family.
As Trump bragged during the primary debates, he made big money through his bankruptcies. Sure, because then he made money not only from the foolish customers in his casinos, but also by stiffing his employees and contractors. It’s a trick he has used repeatedly.
Trump knows what “crooked” means from the inside out.
