Yough’s final surge overcomes Beth-Center

Ryan Everly scored two of his three rushing touchdowns in the final six minutes Friday night as Yough won a back-and-forth non-conference game against visiting Beth-Center, 32-20.

Beth-Center (0-1) had grabbed a 20-19 lead on a 3-yard run by Dominic Fundy with 8:39 remaining before Everly scored from 10 and 19 yards out to put the game away for Yough (1-0).

Trent Cunko had 104 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries for the Bulldogs, while Fundy had 98 yards on 22 attempts for the Bulldogs, who led 12-7 after one quarter.

Justin Shoaf scored on a 72-yard run and then added a 32-yard return of a blocked punt in the second quarter to give Yough a 19-12 halftime lead.
