Gross revenue from table games play at Pennsylvania’s 12 casinos rose 4.35 percent last month compared with the previous September. But it declined by more than 10 percent at each of the region’s three gaming venues, including The Meadows Racetrack & Casino.

Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported on its website Monday table games generated $68,787,147 statewide last month, up from $65,916,872 the previous year.

Revenue at the North Strabane Township facility, conversely, dropped to $2,036,221 in September from $2,431,762 a year earlier. The 16.27 percent decline was the second worst in the state last month, behind Valley Forge Casino Resort (minus 20.34 percent). That came on the heels of a 46.77 percent plunge in August at The Meadows, the biggest slide in Pennsylvania for that month.

Las Vegas-based Pinnacle Entertainment took over operations of The Meadows in early September.

Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin, meanwhile, posted the third-biggest drop in September, 12.28 percent. The Fayette County casino’s revenue fell from $361,695 in 2015 to $317,269 last month.

Revenue at Rivers Casino, on Pittsburgh’s North Side, was $5,300,662 last month, down 10.28 percent from $5,907,835. Table games play, according to the PGCB, raised $11,143,191 in tax revenue statewide in September. An average of 1,217 tables operated on a daily basis.

The control board had previously reported slot machine figures for September. Combined revenue from slots and table games play generated $260,937,476 in revenue across Pennsylvania – a 2.93 percent increase from $253,516,760 in 2015.

The Meadows was the only one of the three regional casinos to experience an increase in total revenue last month – 0.31 percent (from $19,975,434 to $20,037,904). Lady Luck posted a 1.91 percent drop, Rivers a 2.68 percent decline.
