Vehicle damaged: A woman reported to borough police she was driving home from the Canon-McMillan football game Friday night on Strabane Avenue when an unknown man kicked the driver’s side door of her vehicle, causing a dent. The woman said she had slowed because a white male with blond hair and two black males, all of whom were in their late teens or early 20s, were walking in the street, when one of them kicked the vehicle.

Attempted break-in: A resident in the 400 block of Highfield Avenue reported to borough police that an attempt was made to kick in a rear basement door after midnight Sunday. The resident found a black hat with a blue band at the scene.

Motorcycle crash: James R. Tennant, 72, of Washington, was cited for making a prohibited U-turn Saturday on Racetrack Road, causing a two-vehicle crash. According to township police, Tennant was traveling west on Racetrack Road when he attempted to make a U-turn at the intersection of Quail Acres Lane, striking a motorcycle driven by Alan D. Ziglear, 49, of Youngstown, Ohio. Passenger Chastity Ziglear, 42, of Youngstown, was thrown from the motorcycle. She and Alan Ziglear sustained minor injuries and refused further medical treatment.

Theft charge: Nicole M. Nichols, 41, of 113 Hamilton St., Washington, was placed in Washington County Jail Sunday on a charge of retail theft. According to township police, Nichols took pet medication valued at about $100 from Walmart, 30 Trinity Point Drive. Nichols, who allegedly has four prior retail theft convictions, was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in jail on $1,000 bond.

Tree cut: The owner of a home in the 500 block of Locust Avenue notified township police a man entered the property Sunday afternoon. A neighbor allegedly told the owner a bald white male wearing a red hooded sweatshirt went into the basement, then cut a pine tree at the rear of the property into firewood. It was not known if anything was taken from the residence.

License plate taken: A resident reported to Washington police Saturday the registration plate was stolen from his motorcycle while it was parked in the 300 block of Maple Avenue.

Man assaulted: Tracey Washington, unknown age and address, was taken to Washington Hospital Saturday around 11 p.m. after city police found him on a porch in the 300 block of Donnan Avenue unresponsive and bleeding from the head with duct tape around his neck and wrist. He allegedly regained consciousness and told emergency responders he was hit with a baseball bat. Washington police are investigating.

Woman injured: A resident of 360 Duncan Ave. reported to Washington police Monday she was struck in in the head while taking out the garbage.
