Area man injured in crash
A 54-year-old North Strabane Township man was injured after crashing his vehicle into a stone pillar on a property in the 800 block of Venetia Road in Peters Township Sunday afternoon.
A Southwest Regional police officer was conducting a traffic stop for a violation near the Union and Peters Township line when the driver crashed, Southwest police said.
The driver was flown to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh.
Peters police is conducting the investigation into the crash.
