Maples lose to Jeannette but lock up playoff spot
MAPLETOWN – Kareem Hall rushed for 100 yards and scored three times to lead Jeannette to a 48-0 win over Mapletown in a non-section high school football game Friday night.
Jeannette (9-0) held Mapletown (4-5) to minus-9 total yards and two first downs in recording its seventh straight shutout. Gavin Uphold, subbing for the injured Dylan Rush (ankle) had 23 yards rushing on seven carries.
Despite the loss, Mapletown clinched a playoff spot Friday night with losses by Monessen and Jefferson-Morgan both lost conference games.
