South Strabane police charge several in thefts
South Strabane Township police have filed theft-related charges against several people accused of stealing from township businesses.
Jessie D. Wyland, 37, of 1250 Morey Road, Fredericktown, is charged with retail theft after he allegedly switched tags on a Cub Cadet zero-turn tractor at Tractor Supply, Northgate Plaza, on Sept. 21. Police said he purchased the tractor for $742 when the actual price was $2,999.
Jessica M. Polonoli, 28, of 1107 Second St., Fayette City, was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing items valued at $417 from Home Depot, 255 Murtland Ave., Sunday.
Sean Taylor, 18, of 679 Broad St., Washington, was charged with theft by deception and possession of marijuana after allegedly returning stolen merchandise to Walmart, Trinity Point, Sept. 24.
Trey S. Riesmeyer, 18, of 350 Allison Ave., Washington, was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing 43 items valued at $461.68 from Walmart Sept. 25.
All charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
