Saxton throws for 404 as South Fayette clinches conference title

NATRONA HEIGHTS – Quarterback Drew Saxton passed for 404 yards and 4 touchdowns to pace South Fayette to a 48-14 victory over Highlands in a Class 4-A Northwest Nine high school football game Friday night.

The win clinches a share of the conference title.

Saxton hit Mikey Speca from 53 yards, Cameron Garland from 59 and Luke Meindl from 32 and 41 yards for the Lions (7-0, 9-0).

Speca had three receptions for 96 yards and Geavonie Love rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown. Ryan Fleming recovered a fumble in the end zone for South Fayette’s final score. Joe Mowod had 56 yards rushing on eight carries.

Highlands fell to 2-5 and 3-5.
