Halloween events
Canonsburg Hospital will host its annual Halloween Trail from 4 to 5:30 p.m. today along the hospital’s outdoor walking trail.
Children are invited to dress in their costumes and trick or treat on the one-mile trail. Hospital employees, representatives from local businesses and U.S. military personnel will be dressed in costumes as they hand out treats at about 20 stops along the way.
The event and parking are free. Treats and bags will be provided.
If it rains, the event will be held indoors.
Carmichaels Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Halloween parade at 2 p.m. Sunday in the town square. The parade is open to all Carmichaels and Cumberland Township children to age 12.
Lineup will begin at 1:45 p.m. in the parking lot of Yoskovich Funeral Home. The parade will be led through Carmichaels to the town square by the Carmichaels Area Junior/Senior High School marching band.
Judging will be held in town square in various categories for children up to 6 years old and 7- through 12-year-olds, and prizes will be awarded. All children in costume will receive a treat bag from the reigning Coal Queen Morgan Voithofer. DJ Dave Plavi will provide music during the parade. Immediately afterward, trick or treat will be held at Brodak’s Shop ‘N Save.
Duda’s Farm, 157 Creek Road, Brownsville, will feature Halloween-related activities, including a pumpkin patch, corn mazes, hayrides and bonfires, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Admission is $10 per person for groups of 20 or more. Children younger than 2 are free.
