Interstate 70 congestion east at Interstate 79 south

Drivers traveling Interstate 70 eastbound at the south junction with Interstate 79 in South Strabane Township should be aware of traffic congestion in the area. The ramp from I-70 eastbound to I-79 south is closed while crews from the state Department of Transportation resurface it. Drivers wanting to go south on I-79 are being rerouted to the Eighty Four exit and back on to I-70 westbound to I-79 southbound. State police are providing traffic control. The work is expected to be completed this afternoon.
