A Meadow Lands man injured in a crash last month on Western Avenue (Route 519) in Chartiers Township died Sunday in a Pittsburgh hospital.

Joseph Mojica, 70, was injured when his vehicle veered off the 900 block of Western and crashed Oct. 14. He was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he died. Mojica told police that he was blinded by the headlights of oncoming vehicles.

Mojica was the 18th person to die on Washington County roads this year.
