Police Beat Nov. 30
Granddaughter charged: Sierra N. Scott, 26, of 137 Johnson Road, Washington, was charged last week by state police with three counts of access device fraud for allegedly using her grandmother’s debit card to make three withdrawals on Oct. 19 and 20 at an automated-teller machine inside a convenience store at 1748 Amity Ridge Road, Amwell. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
Driver faces charge: Ronald Dellsanti, 42, of Waynesburg, faces a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol stemming from a crash early Saturday on Interstate 79 near the Lone Pine exit, Amwell, state police said.
Charged in crash: Ryan M. Bichi, 32, of 434 E. Wheeling St., East Washington, was charged last week by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving and failure to stay in his lane after he his vehicle went off the 600 block of Waynesburg Road, Amwell, on Oct. 21 and got stuck in a grassy area. Police said his blood-alcohol content was almost three times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
Unauthorized use charge: Adam Snatchko Jr., 20, of 157 Smith St., Canonsburg, was arrested Monday by Canonsburg police for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after he allegedly stole a car owned by Mary Plumley from a house on Giffin Avenue. Plumley told police that he apparently took the keys from her purse. Police said Snatchko returned the car and then fled on foot. He was taken into custody and arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.

Assault charges: Dion Clayton Holmes, 31, of 52 Griffith Ave., Canton, was arrested Monday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly struck his sister in the head and face during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.

Weapons violation alleged: Nathaniel R. Miller, 21, of Wellsburg, W.Va., was charged last week by state police with carrying a firearm without a license. He was found with a gun inside his vehicle Sept. 25. Police said they discovered his vehicle parked partially in the 100 block of West Main Street, with Miller passed out inside, intoxicated. Miller, who did not have a license to carry the weapon in Pennsylvania, reportedly told police he thought he was still in West Virginia. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

Charged with assault: Adam R. Vasko, 25, of 110 Chevalier Court, Eighty Four, was arrested by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly punched his brother and hit him with a belt during a confrontation Monday at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.

False imprisonment, assault charges: Samuel A. Carpenter Jr., 30, of 795 Addison St., Washington, was charged Tuesday by Washington police with false imprisonment, simple assault and harassment for allegedly assaulting his 24-year-old girlfriend and refusing to let her leave their duplex Nov. 21. She told police that Carpenter struck her in the face and held her in their bedroom. Carpenter also allegedly took her cellphone so she could not summon help. She said he eventually let her leave to get their two boys, and that’s when she notified police. Carpenter, who was placed in Washington County Jail Nov. 23 on a probation detainer, will be arraigned on the charges later before District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Two charged: Christopher Columbus Titchnell, 53, and Donna Darlene Titchnell, 54, both of 554 Broad St., Washington, were charged by Washington police with hindering apprehension. Police had received a tip that a man wanted on a state parole violation was at their home. They allegedly denied he was there, but police said they spotted the wanted man running through the yard. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Trespass, paraphernalia charges: Leon L. McClain Jr., 27, of 189 Laurie Lane, Amwell Township, was charged Tuesday by Washington police with criminal trespass and possession of paraphernalia after he allegedly refused to leave a store at 701 W. Chestnut St. on May 4. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Theft charge: Tonya Catalina, 32, of 83 W. Walnut St., Washington, was charged Tuesday by Washington police with felony retail theft for allegedly stealing make-up and household items from Family Dollar, 101 E. Wylie Ave., on Oct. 20. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Theft from vehicle: Aaron Evers, 32, of 409 Marne Ave., Monongahela, was charged Tuesday by Washington police with theft from a vehicle and theft. He is accused of stealing a key to a storage unit from a woman’s vehicle at 93 Woodland Ave. on Nov. 14. He then allegedly gained access to the unit and removed items. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Tools stolen: Steve Elliott of 1168 Arch St. told Washington police Tuesday that a pocket laser, tools bags containing tools and a tool belt with tools were stolen from his pickup truck.
Tablet stolen: Dora Vetanze of 1125 Jefferson Ave. told Washington police Tuesday that her Galaxy tablet was stolen from her apartment. Police have a suspect.
