Farmers Insurance, Washington, invites members of the community to participate in the 2016 Suits for Soldiers campaign. Help support transitioning veterans returning to the workforce by donating a gently used and dry cleaned suit and/or professional attire for a man or woman. The suit drive runs through Nov. 30. Attire can be dropped off at the Farmers Insurance office located at 598 East Maiden Street, or any participating Farmers Insurance office. For more information, call 878-218-1182.

Peters Township is participating with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve in collecting Toys for Tots this holiday season. Collection boxes are located at the Community Recreation Center and at the library. New, unwrapped gifts for children from infancy to 14 years can be placed in the collection boxes anytime through Dec. 4. The Marine Corps Reserve will pick up and distribute the gifts. Gifts can also be dropped off at the tree lighting at the library at 6 p.m. Dec. 4. For more information, call the Recreation Center at 724-942-5000.

Tingoocqua Service Unit of the Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania will hold a “Stuff-the-Truck” toy drive benefiting Toys for Tots Saturday at Krispy Kreme at Trinity Point in Washington. New, unwrapped toys and gifts can be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Donations of gifts for teenaged children are encouraged, including sporting equipment, backpacks, cosmetics, purses and wallets, watches, bath gift sets, board games, radio control cars and trucks, hand-held electronics, skateboards and helmets, curling irons and straighteners and hair dryers. Tingoocqua Service Unit serves Girl Scouts primarily from Washington and Trinity school districts.
